PRESS RELEASE
Connecting Private Sector to Sustainable Development Goals
Doha, Qatar. November 04, 2025
Prepared by Kizzann Sammy and Yolande De Leon
Under the theme “Strengthening the three pillars of social development: poverty eradication, full and productive employment and decent work for all, and social inclusion” and considering that global mechanisms are financially and technologically dominated by a few larger economies, and that the erosion of rights in said economies equates to eroded rights globally, it is critical that sovereign nations develop counter-mechanisms:
-
To identify the perceptions of political, cultural, and economic disempowerment being experienced by some of its citizens, that are leading to rising rates of xenophobia and racism against non-nationals and other citizens.
-
Actively address the exclusion of marginalization of certain groups, particularly the growing number of persons being unintentionally marginalized through gaps in immigration processes and systems.
-
Promote the protection of rights to access better lives and employment being sought within its borders.

In this regard, there should be a global and national commitment to:
-
Prioritizing the restoration of power / identity to individuals while creating spaces for healthy dialogue for opposing views.
-
Strongly addressing the rhetoric that has historically led to physical harm and oppression of other groups.
-
Empowering informal and formal MSMEs within a revised transnational trade structure that facilitates local currency use enabled by Fintech adoption, thereby increasing financial and technological literacy among its populace.
Kochi Consulting Ltd. offers business services and solutions to individuals and businesses seeking to grow human capital and increase revenues. With diverse experience across a rapidly evolving world, we place sustainability, innovation, and social responsibility at the core of everything we do. We are committed to working with civil society bodies, private sector groups and policy makers in international, national and local spaces to foster equitable spaces for dialogue that do not unintentionally dismiss the concerns of smaller, less vocal groups. We express strong concern that the race towards digitalization in the financial and social spheres are not being complemented with adequate financial and digital literacy within populations in the developed and developing world. The high dependency on graphic interface environments, dominated by Western technology companies, is leading to stereotypes and divisive technology that reinforces racial, cultural and gender divisions. More is needed to promote public awareness and capacity in cyber risks and security, coding, algorithms, and ethical use of technology, particularly around the abuse of deep fakes and doctored videos, imagery and messaging to promote discord and division within societies.
